Her books have been translated into half a dozen languages and have been shortlisted for such prestigious awards as the Canadian Children’s Book Centre Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, the Canadian Library Association Young Adult Book Award, the Saskatchewan Diamond Willow Reader’s Choice Award and the Ontario Library Association Silver Birch Award. Her novels include Exploits of a Reluctant (But Extremely Goodlooking) Hero, The Gypsy King trilogy and Ortega, which won the McNally Book for Young People award.
